Brand Manager

The prime responsibility of the Marketing Department is to build and strengthen the brand equity of SWISS WATER® Decaf across all key stakeholder groups – industry, customers, consumers. To this end, the Brand Manager works in conjunction with the VP Marketing to deliver the annual objectives.  

Reporting to: VP Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

Consumer Advertising and Promotion
• Improve brand awareness and preference with decaf drinkers
• Help expand decaf education and SWISS WATER® Process brand credentials using the internet and new emerging media

Trade Advertising and Promotion
• Actively manage our industry activities to grow loyalty and support
• Support Customer Relationship Centre relating to our Licensed Vendor Network
• With VP Marketing build sales aid, education and promotion arsenal for the benefit of both Direct and Indirect channels

Co-Marketing
• Support all co-marketing initiatives from a consumer, customer brand communication perspective in a timely manner, within agreed to budgets.
• Develop promotion options for in-market testing

Branding
• Assist customers in SWISS WATER® Decaf labeling/packaging initiatives

Tradeshows
• With the VP of Business Development, VP Marketing, support key industry Tradeshows from booth communication elements, planning, scheduling, post show evaluation

Trademark Management
• Support trademark protection/management initiatives

Market Trends & Analysis
• Analyze and report on Industry Market Share
• Analyze and report on monthly syndicated data

New Business
• Assist in the development of new business initiatives, whether with existing customers, or new customers, across all channels

Other: Periodic travel will be required

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a background in consumer packaged goods marketing with hands on experience in building brand value in a competitive environment. Strategic planning including data driven analysis will be an asset. Having experience with manipulating syndicated data such as AC Nielsen or IRI would be very beneficial. This individual has advanced computer skills including a passion for the application of the new emerging social media. Excellent communication skills - written, oral, listening and comprehension are key enablers to success.
Formal education – degree with business/marketing major. Work experience – minimum 6 years in brand management/marketing.

Customer Relationship Specialist

Reporting to the Vice President Green Coffee, this position will provide a diverse range of customer and administrative support to the Sales and Marketing team. 

Reporting to: Vice President Green Coffee

Key Responsibilities:

The Customer Relationship Specialist will be responsible for:
• Providing insights, input and support to the Sales team.
• Customer interaction via telephone and email to promote Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company.
• Attending and working at trade shows to promote our product.
• Providing administrative support to the sales team.
• Daily coffee cupping and sample roasting
• Attending one to four business trips per year.
• Performing other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited University.
• Minimum one year of experience within the coffee industry.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• Must have an interest in coffee.
• Energetic and results-oriented.
• Will possess strong customer orientation and relationship building skills.
• Strong planning, time management, and decision-making skills and the ability to excel in a networked team environment.
• Strong organizational and multi-taking skills complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; outgoing, confident, and strong personal presentation are essential to success.
• Competency in using software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to travel in Canada and USA (1-4 trips per year, average duration 3-4 days).
